Project Name: Assessment of Educational Institution in Rural Cities

Location: The Nefusa Mountain
The assessment has been carried for 80 primary and secondary Schools in Nafusa Mountain Cities such Yefren, Gala, Zintan. KDF has developed the process and assessment methodology and has trained some local staff to carry out the job.
Purpose
The purpose of the assessment to find out the urgent needs for schools in these cities as they have been under considerable attach by Gaddafi. Children were far from their school as some schools were destroyed. KDF shall share these needs with governments and NGO and whoever can help those schools to run and provide the basic services to children.
Current Situation
The assessment has shown that the schools have the following urgent needs:
- Maintenance of some schools (ceilings, Toilets, Water supplies, Windows).
- Teaching Facilities (whiteboards/Stationary)
- Healthy Water.
- Computer & Scientific Labs
